Are you living history? Can you help?
Not everything is recorded in official records. Those of you who were born or grew up in the district are its “living history”. Your local knowledge and memories are invaluable. The history snippets you may have tucked away in your memory or elsewhere could become a part of this archive if you would like to share them.
Do you have a story you’ve been longing to share? Is it the story of your family? Is it a memory or an anecdotal tale? Is it a photograph or is it poem? Is it a story about an interesting object or a piece of memorabilia? Is it an eye witness account of something from days gone by? Perhaps it is the history of your house?
A photo can tell its own story. Do you have a photo of a person, place or event that you would like to share with others? e.g. old farm equipment, vehicles, show animals, tools, household items, wedding photos, vintage clothing, badges, trophies, jewellery, family memorabilia, documents, receipts, letters, recipes or poetry etc.
